Eva Mendes is an American model and actress. She was spotted by a talent agent who saw her talent and persuaded her to choose to work in the entertainment field. She made the decision to quit school and join the entertainment industry after much contemplation. Her disappointment was with the performance she gave in the movie Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror. She was determined to perfect her acting talents and performed in several films with low budgets to demonstrate her talents. She persevered and paid off. Her career in acting was launched following her not only praise but also recognition for her role in Training Day.
