Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with soul, gospel music and R&B. The singer's career has taken her all over the world, from Broadway to European events and clubs, to even at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine has been born Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta but she is from Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing as well as playing the piano at churches. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship in the Atlanta's R&B scene. In 2005 she was hired to be the main keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing she asked Sunshine to be part of the Dreamgirls show during Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for several performances throughout the Democratic National Convention in 2008. She was invited to sing as part of Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
